Might be less than what you've indicated (a whooping $17,500). Quadro FX 5500, on the other hand, might belong to the Nvidia-series of high-end, high-powered graphics card that you woudn't mind buying a diamond instead. The cost? An estimated street price of $2,499 as to date. September's almost drawing near where the Quadro Plex 1000 will be available (as Nvidia said so) for purchase.
